Dolphin Student’s Welfare Committee (DSWC)

Aim and Objective:

The Student Welfare Council (SWC) looks after the general social and welfare needs of the students. It functions under the auspices of a Governing Council and the Students’ Executive Committee. The SWC has established a “Student’s Welfare Fund.” Chaired by the Dean of Student Welfare, the council is responsible for coordinating and executing various welfare activities for the institute’s students, as well as philanthropic activities on their behalf. Every student is automatically a member of the SWC.

Vision and Mission:

  • To ensure maximum student participation in inter-college, inter-university, and interstate curricular and co-curricular competitions.

Dolphin Students' Welfare: Funding Opportunities

  • The Management of the Institute provides financial assistance for the smooth running of the Dolphin Students’ Welfare Committee.
  • The fund is utilized under the guidance of the Students’ Welfare Committee, which is headed by the Dean of Students’ Welfare.
  • The fund is used to organize various cultural, literary, sports, social, and philanthropic activities and events for the students. It is also used to grant scholarships to poor but meritorious students. In addition to contributory funding by the management, the Office of the Dean of Students’ Welfare will also involve itself regularly in various fundraising events throughout the year for philanthropic activities.
  • For the day-to-day operation of the fund, a governing body and an executive committee exist, with office bearers of the management committee, Dolphin Educational Society of India, faculty, and student members from Dolphin Institute, Dehradun.

Selection of Sports Captain Boy & Girl. Selection of sports team for various games. To ensure the participation of selected team for various activities conducted by the college and the university outside the campus. Proposing forthcoming sports events with budget in coordination with sports committee, and to forwarded to Principal Office for final approval. Finalizing sports calendar for the current academic session and to submit to the Principal Office for approval.

The Aim of Scouting and Guiding is four-fold. The first is the formation of character; the second is the formation of sound health habits. The third is the training in the handicraft and the acquiring of usel sfukills; and the fourth is the cultivation of a proper spirit of service efficiently.
