Equal Opportunity Cell has been set up to ensure the opportunities for inclusive, equal and quality higher education to the Socially Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs) students, namely Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) (non- creamy layer), Women, Minorities, and Differently Abled Persons. Cell shall protect the constitutionally guaranteed rights, dignity, safety, and security of all individuals belonging to the SEDGs and also ensure them equalizing access and opportunities to pursue higher education with the help of the existing statutory bodies such as SC/ST Cell and OBC Cell.
