The Department of Physiotherapy at Dolphin (PG) Institute of Biomedical and Natural Sciences successfully conducted a Certificate Course on Taping Techniques from May 26 to 30, 2025. The five-day program was designed to enhance practical skills in therapeutic taping among budding physiotherapists.
The course was led by Dr. Piyush Jain, a certified international instructor from Kinesiology Academy, Korea and presently serving as a Dirctor at Galena Global Academy. Dr. Jain provided in-depth training and hands-on sessions on various taping methods used in physiotherapy to aid injury prevention and rehabilitation.
A total of 45 participants enthusiastically took part in the workshop, gaining valuable insights into advanced taping techniques applicable in clinical practice and sports injury management. . Aim of the workshop was to teach students about the basic concepts of taping techniques, analysis of Human movements, postural control, therapeutic handling during evaluation and intervention. Two days included teaching as well as practical demonstration on the subjects. It also included student interaction as well as question answer sessions for better understanding of the topic. All students showed a keen interest in taking part in this workshop and had a fruitful learning experience
The felicitation of the resource person was carried out by Prof. (Dr.) Deptee Warikoo, who appreciated Dr. Jain’s expertise and the interactive nature of the sessions. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Keerty Mathur, the event coordinator, who expressed gratitude to the resource person, participants, and the organizing team for making the program a success.
