A special session was conducted by Dr. Laxmi Rawat, Head of the Department of Plant Protection, who provided practical insights into crop protection techniques, particularly focusing on millets, which are extensively cultivated across Uttarakhand.
The students also had the opportunity to visit India’s second established Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) under the university, where Dr. Sachin Kumar elaborated on the objectives, operational framework, and key achievements of the KVK in facilitating agricultural extension services and farmer outreach.
