The Department of Physiotherapy extended free physiotherapy services to the participating athletes at The Indian Tour Open International Tennis Federation (ITF) Men’s and Women’s Tennis Tournament (MT-200) organized by the Uttaranchal Tennis Association at the Shanti Tennis Academy from 21st to 25th March 2026. The tournament witnessied enthusiastic participation from competitive tennis players across categories.
A dedicated team of final-year BPT students—Ajish, Shivani, Sandhya, and Diya—were actively involved in delivering these services under professional guidance. The physiotherapy services ensured optimal performance, injury prevention, and recovery support.
The physiotherapy unit catered to nearly 50 players, offering assessment, treatment, and education on injury management, ergonomics, and exercise strategies tailored for tennis athletes. Their contribution played a significant role in enhancing player care and on-field performance.
In recognition of their commendable service and consistent support, the Tennis Association felicitated both the students and the college, appreciating their commitment towards sports healthcare and community engagement.
The initiative highlights the growing importance of physiotherapy in sports and reflects the institution’s dedication to practical learning and service-oriented education.
