Skill Development Initiative “GAURAV” Empowers Students with BFSI Training

A total of 300 students from the Departments of Physiotherapy, Medical Lab Technology, and Agriculture at Dolphin (PG) Institute enthusiastically participated in Level 1 of the Skill Development Initiative – GAURAV (Giving of Additional Upskilling Resources And Value for Youth). The program was conducted over four days in three different batches. The first batch began on 19th May 2025, while the second and the third batches began on 26th May and 9th June respectively.

This forward-looking initiative has been launched by the State Government of Uttarakhand under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, in collaboration with NSE Limited, SEBI, AMFI, and ANMI, and is executed by Talent Skillsvarsity.

The primary objective of this initiative is to equip students with essential skills and knowledge in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance) sector, thereby enhancing their employability and career readiness.

The resource person for the first two batches was Dr. Kabir Sharma, and the third batch was conducted by Dr. Mukesh Verma – both certified and experienced trainers.

During the program, students acquired valuable insights and practical skills, along with certifications in various domains of the BFSI sector.

Significantly, more than 80% of participating students successfully completed the course and were awarded certificates by NSE Academy.

This initiative marks a significant step toward bridging the gap between academics and industry requirements, ensuring that students from diverse disciplines are future-ready with critical sectoral skills.
