World Health Day 2025: Lecture on Autism Awareness and Inclusion
On the occasion of World Health Day, observed on 7th April 2025, an insightful lecture was organized with a focus on Autism Awareness, aiming to draw the attention of students and faculty alike to a critical global health concern that touches countless lives.
The lecture was delivered by Mrs. Roopa Bishnoi, esteemed Director at Wabi Saabi, who brought her expertise and deep insights into the complexities surrounding autism. Her engaging session not only illuminated the challenges faced by individuals on the autism spectrum but also emphasized strategies for fostering greater understanding, support, and inclusion within society.
Mrs. Bishnoi was joined by Mrs. Aditi, a dedicated special educator, who shed light on the importance of inclusive teaching and learning practices, enriching the students’ perspective on adaptive education.
The event was graciously facilitated by Dr. Deepte Warikoo, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy, who also delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks. To commemorate the occasion, Dr. Warikoo presented a sapling to Mrs. Bishnoi, symbolizing growth, awareness, and the nurturing spirit of education.
A total of 119 students, along with the entire faculty, attended the session, gaining valuable insights. The lecture left a profound impact, promoting greater empathy and awareness towards the autism community.
