Herbal Research: Opportunities, Challenges and Beyond

It was an honor for Us  , Prof. Dr. Versha ParchaDean of Research also Editorial Board Member of UJPAH, to actively participate in the Seminar on “Herbal Research: Opportunities, Challenges and Beyond” and the release of UJPAH Vol. 1, No. 38, held on June 28, 2025, at UCOST, Dehradun.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr. S. Farooq (President, The Himalayan Wellness Company), Prof. (Dr.) Shailendra Saraf (Director, NIPER Ahmedabad), Prof. (Dr.) Durgesh Pant (DG, UCOST), Dr. Arun Kumar Tripathi (VC, Uttarakhand Ayurved University), and other eminent academicians and policymakers.

A special highlight was the recognition of our students from Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemistry, and Biotechnology, who successfully completed hands-on training in herbal R&D under the active MoU with The Himalayan Wellness Company. Research Scholars from DIBNS also participated in the event. Their dedication was celebrated with the award of certificates during the program. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ritu for her guidance and support throughout the training!

This collaborative effort, under the framework of our MoU, is in line with the goals of the Research Advisory Council (RAC) to promote translational research, industrial exposure, and capacity building in herbal sciences. We deeply appreciate the efforts of UJPAH, UCOST, and Dr. S. Farooq for strengthening industry-academia partnerships and providing such enriching opportunities for our students.
