On the occasion of world TB Day on 24th march 2026, Department of MLT has conducted whole day awareness program as part WHO TB campaign, where students’ teachers and Admin staff were involved in the awareness program.
Day started with poster presentation competition for students, where students from all departments participated with great enthusiasm more than 30 posters were presented on this year’s TB Day theme “Yes! We Can End TB: Led by countries. Powered by people,”.
Followed by special lecture covering the laboratory diagnosis of TB was discussed followed by a program conducted in collaboration with “Dr. Lal path labs Pvt limited”, Dehradun on “Entrepreneurship in medical laboratories”. It was an interactive session where students of MLT department participated with great enthusiasm.
Afternoon program included a special training of MLT students on processing sputum samples and microscopic diagnosis of tuberculosis bacilli as per WHO guideline.
Days events concluded with prize distribution for winners of poster competition and appreciation of Dr Lal path lab officials and all volunteers and participants of the day’s awareness program
