National Service Scheme (NSS) “Be the Change, Serve with Compassion”

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a flagship initiative of the Government of India under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, established in 1969 with the vision of developing socially responsible and service-oriented youth. Guided by its inspiring motto, “Not Me But You,” NSS encourages students to actively participate in community service and nation-building activities while fostering their personal growth and leadership skills.

At Dolphin PG Institute of Biomedical and Natural Sciences, Dehradun, the NSS unit plays a significant role in promoting social awareness and community engagement among students. NSS volunteers enthusiastically participate in various activities including tree plantation drives, blood donation camps, cleanliness campaigns, health awareness programs, cultural events, environmental initiatives, and community outreach programs.

These activities not only contribute positively to society but also help students develop essential qualities such as leadership, teamwork, discipline, empathy, communication skills, and social responsibility.

Message from the Program Officer – NSS

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome students to the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Dolphin PG Institute of Biomedical and Natural Sciences, Dehradun. NSS provides an excellent platform for young minds to serve society while nurturing qualities such as leadership, discipline, teamwork, and compassion.

The motto of NSS, “Not Me But You,” inspires every volunteer to work selflessly for the welfare of the community. Through activities like cleanliness drives, health awareness campaigns, blood donation camps, environmental conservation programs, and social outreach initiatives, students gain meaningful experiences that shape them into responsible citizens and future leaders.
