The Department of Biotechnology of Dolphin (P.G.) Institute of Biomedical & Natural Sciences organized a highly engaging Guest Lecture and Alumni Interaction Session on April 4, 2025, at 03:00 PM in the New Auditorium of the institute.
The session featured a distinguished talk by Dr. Bhargab Kalita, Assistant Professor at Amrita Research Centre, Delhi NCR. Dr. Kalita delivered two insightful lectures titled:
- “Unraveling the Bite: Proteomics & Immuno-Profiling of Indian Russell’s Viper Venom”
- “Bridging Science and Healthcare: Advanced Careers in Translational Medicine”
These sessions provided participants with an in-depth understanding of cutting-edge research in venom proteomics, its biomedical relevance, and exciting opportunities in translational medicine. Dr. Kalita’s experience and academic insights added significant value, especially for students aspiring to pursue research and careers in biomedical sciences.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members across various departments, including Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medical Lab Technology (MLT) and Physiotherapy. The interaction session was particularly appreciated, with students actively engaging in discussions, seeking guidance on career pathways, and exploring collaborative research opportunities.
The lecture concluded with a vote of thanks, and the Alumni Association appreciated the continued support and participation of former and current students in such knowledge-enriching events.
