Our students participated in the UCOST Science Festival 2026, organized by the Uttarakhand State Council for Science & Technology (UCOST) on the occasion of National Science Day, 28th February 2026.
The two-day Science Festival provided a vibrant platform for young innovators, researchers, and students to showcase their scientific ideas, entrepreneurial models, and creative talents.

Entrepreneurial Showcase
under the banner of Dolphin entrepreneurship mini factory hub. The students demonstrated practical applications of scientific knowledge through product development and sustainable models. The exhibits reflected the institute’s emphasis on “Learning by Making, Earning by Innovating.”With the efforts of Research and advisory council and management DIBNS students from the various departments namely
Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Chemistry, Agriculture, Microbiology, Forestry, Physiotherapy actively participated.
Key Products Showcased were Pure Essential Oil extracted from lemon grass , eculpytus, levender and jasmine and different products, Diffusers, Essential Oil Roll-ons, Rose water, Lip baam, Herbal Soaps, Herbal & Natural Formulations, Vermi Compost, Bamboo-based organic composting model, Fresh Fruit Juices and Value-added Agro Products. The products demonstrated under Sustainable Agricultural Innovations were Application of green chemistry principles, Waste-to-wealth approaches, Sustainable agriculture practices, Natural product-based entrepreneurship, Skill-based learning linked with market potential.
Students confidently explained product formulation, extraction processes, marketing strategy, cost analysis, and commercialization potential to visitors, judges, and fellow participants.
The Science Festival also featured Poster Competition and Rangoli Competition, encouraging scientific creativity and awareness.
We are proud to share that Sandhya and Diya won the first prize in the poster presentation Sandhya and Diya while
in the Rangoli competition Mrunmayi and Ankit won the second prize.
Their outstanding performance reflects interdisciplinary creativity and strong scientific understanding.
Participation in the UCOST Science Festival helped students to Develop entrepreneurial confidence, Understand product-to-market linkage, Enhance communication and presentation skills, Promote sustainable and eco-friendly innovations, Strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, Align innovation with national scientific vision.
The event reinforced the spirit of National Science Day, commemorating the discovery of the Raman Effect and promoting scientific temper among youth.
The participation reflects the institute’s commitment to skill development, sustainable innovation, and scientific excellence.
