Free physiotherapy services at the State Female Football Tournament

Students of BPT 4th Year actively contributed to the State Female Football Tournament by providing free physiotherapy services to participating athletes at Maharana Pratap Singh Stadium on 21st, 22nd and 23rd September 2026.

As part of their clinical learning and community service, the students provided physiotherapy support to the athletes throughout the tournament. Their responsibilities included assisting players with common sports-related concerns, providing appropriate physiotherapy interventions, and supporting athletes in maintaining their physical readiness during the competition.

The student team included Dhruv Sharma, Ajish Adhikari, Naveen, Shivam Tiwari, Himani Bhandari, Sana Parveen, Sonali, and Nishita Paras.

During the three-day tournament, the students provided physiotherapy services to more than 13 athletes, gaining valuable practical exposure to sports physiotherapy and on-field athlete care.

The initiative provided students with an opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real sporting environment while developing essential skills in clinical assessment, communication, teamwork, and sports injury management.

The participation of the students reflects the department’s commitment to experiential learning, community engagement, and the development of competent and socially responsible physiotherapy professionals.
