The Department of Physiotherapy at Dolphin PG Institute of Biomedical and Natural Sciences, Dehradun, provided vital services free of cost for the Boxing Tournament held at Baluni Public School on 24th November 2024. The physiotherapy team, consisting of MPT students and under the leadership of Dr. Deptee Warikoo (HOD), along with Dr. Balaji (PT) and Dr. Saurabh (PT), delivered comprehensive care to the athletes. The services offered focused on preventing, managing, and rehabilitating injuries, while simultaneously enhancing performance.
Given the high-intensity and physically demanding nature of boxing, athletes often face significant physical challenges, but the physiotherapy team played a crucial role in safeguarding their overall health and fitness. By addressing the needs of the boxers, the team helped to not only treat and prevent injuries but also to improve their overall physical conditioning, contributing to their long-term success. This holistic approach effectively reduced the risk of future injuries, ensuring that the athletes could continue to perform at their best while maintaining optimal physical well-being.
